Ariel Helwani Interviews Erik “El Goyito” Perez

In the last UFC event of 2012, “Goyito Power” was in full force. Erik “El Goyito” Ruvalcaba stopped Byron Bloodworth in the first frame at 3:50 via TKO.

It was one of the feel good stories of the year. The sweet, charming fighter from Monterrey was a late replacement in a TUF Finale prelim fight back in June. Now he’s 3-0 inside the UFC.

His latest win against Bloodworth at UFC 155 was set up by one sharp knee to the breadbasket. Bloodworth collapsed to the canvas, and Perez worked some ground and pound before Kim Winslow stepped in to award the TKO win to “El Goyito”.

The bantamweight prospect was joined by Ariel Helwani after his win.
