This was an outstanding event! From top to bottom this card delivered and gave the ticket buyers their money worth of MMA action. The main event was a fantastically violent encounter between two hungry fighters looking to get crowned as the king of the TRCAA featherweight division. Aguirre walked away victorious and with the title but both fighters won the respect of everybody in attendance. It might just be the best fight I’ve seen locally- it was that damn good.
Noe Grajales is someone you should probably be on the look out here on the local scene. The quick display we saw of his jiu-jitsu should put any future opponent on notice when it comes to the ground game.

On August 2, Nord Boxing Promotions will be going to seem what is the new home for boxing down here- The Pharr Event Center. The show is headlined by local favorite James De La Rosa. “The King” has been away from the ring for sometime with his last fight happening last year in April. De La Rosa will be looking to get some gold around his waist in this 8 round battle for the Texa Middleweight title belt.
Luis Castro of Edinburg has been a hot rising prospect and looks to continue his momentum against Rolando Garza. the last time NORD ran a show they made a huge error in the booking of their date. The gate receipts of the last show were very poor so hopefully this show does better for the growth of the fighters down here and for the entertainment of Valley boxing fans.
JC Fighting promotions will return with “Hero FC: Best of the Best III” in the Jacob Brown Auditorium in Brownsville, Texas. The card will include all champions of the promotion returning to defend their title and contract.
