According to this ESPN report, the master of the spinning back kick is dropping down to featherweight:
German lightweight Dennis Siver is planning to drop down to the featherweight class for his next bout, according to reports.
Siver was thought to be a leading contender at lightweight until he was submitted in the first round of his bout with Donald Cerrone at UFC 137.
That was his first loss in five outings, and it has provoked a change in strategy – although no date has been mooted for his debut at featherweight.
The 32-year-old has an MMA record of 19-8, including wins over Andre Winner and Matt Wiman.
His run towards title contention was highlighted with his wins over the aforementioned Winner, Wiman and George Sotiropoulos. He has great spinning back kicks, a fight with fellow featherweight spinning kick enthusiast Diego Nunes will be filled with twirly funkiness.
