Frank Treviño Makes Debut at UFC 171

Valley fans might have another reason to go to UFC 171 that is being hosted in Dallas. One of the valley’s best MMA fighters, Frank Treviño will finally make his long awaited debut against Renee Forte (8-3). Forte, a former TUF: Brazil contestant, has already seen the inside of the Octagon when he was knocked out by John Makdessi at UFC 165. Treviño signed with the UFC in November after racking up an undefeated streak of 11 wins.

The undefeated Trevino will be looking to maintain his spotless record in his UFC debut. For those wondering if the fight will be televised, as of yet, it seems that it will air on the UFC stream and not on TV. That could all change if fights go short on the prelims and the live show, provided that Trevino has a great performance.

For those of you counting at home, this will make two born and breed STFC fighters to step in the Octagon. That number could very well change this year with one more win from Carlos Diego Ferreria.
